I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased The Lord
But you don’t really care for music
do you?

Happy Birthday to the beautiful punkuhura. I hope you’re happy that this exists because I’m not sure if I’m proud of myself or not.

Late night gay nerd sketching. Left Behind ended happily and they got to grow up and be adorable and badass together and it was wonderful. I don’t know what game the rest of you played.

Anyway, I’m going to try to scan and color this eventually. Until then, Instagram pictures will have to suffice.

*Loudly continues to draw Marlene*

I’ve been reading amandapalmer’s “The Art of Asking” recently, and have thoroughly enjoyed it.  She really hits the nail on the head when it comes to the doubts and insecurities artists face, and gives wonderful advice about letting them go.

Also, at one point in the book she describes PMS as “a black hole of doubt, despair, and existentially flailing Muppet arms”, which is kind of the best description I’ve ever seen of anything ever.

So I can’t really do one of those month-by-month art collages that everyone is doing because I took the summer off (and because looking at most things that I drew more than a month ago causes me to break out in a rash), so I decided to do a comparison between one of the first things I drew when I began getting into art at the end of 2012 – Good Omens fanart, which was just awful – and some of the things I drew this year that I really liked.

*Dances happily because there’s actual improvement that you can actually see*

Things I need to do: work on a portfolio of artwork that isn’t related to fandom stuff.

What I keep doing: Drawing Josephine.

So I’m experimenting with different styles right now, since my only actually style is Super Obsessive Realism. Anyway, have an incredibly messy Marlene sketch thing.

Merry almost-Christmas, nerds.

(Disgusted noise) because I can’t romance her.
